Reducing Your Carbon Footprint

Here at Four Seasons Flooring, we believe it’s important to do what’s best for the environment so that we, and generations to come, can reap the benefits. We are proud to offer a variety of eco-friendly flooring options for our customers to choose from. Many people know of eco-friendly and recycled products but don’t really know the “why” behind the “what”. We believe that in order for people to actually care about these things they just need to be educated a little on the direct impact that it has on the environment.

Eco-friendly products basically mean that throughout the production, use, and disposal of these products, it creates a minimal carbon footprint. These are usually made from materials in which are biodegradable, recyclable, or compostable. These products work to conserve energy and minimize the emission of greenhouse gases, which can lead to climate change. Using recycled materials reduces the need for raw materials, reduces landfill waste, and decreases pollution.

Some people don’t realize that even after production, after the product is actually installed in your house, toxic chemicals can still leach out and affect you and your family. So, you definitely want to choose a natural or low-emitting flooring type.

Some examples of Green Flooring that we have available includes: Bamboo flooring, Cork flooring, Linoleum flooring, Rubber flooring, Stone Flooring, Tile flooring, Wood flooring, and Natural-fiber carpet. To find out more about these types of flooring, go to our “Green Flooring” page or, give us a call or stop by and see us in person!
